SSC CHSL Exam is Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination One of the famous exam for Pursuing 12th class or 12th Class passed student it Conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) .SSC conducts CHSL exam for the recruitment of  Data Entry Operator (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Postal/Sorting Assistant & Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA). SSC CHSL registration process start in November & December of Every year.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

-> Candidates must have passed minimum 12th or equivalent exam from a recognized           Board or University.
-> Certificate obtained through open school / university, must be recognized by Distance         Education Council (DEC) IGNOU.
-> Candidates, who entitled for typing test / skill test, are required to produce the original      documents, cast certificate (if applicable).
-> Candidates who failed to produce the original documents he/she will be rejected.
-> Candidates who wish to be considered under the reserved category or seeking age             relaxation, he/she will have to submit required certificate from the competent                     authority,  in the prescribed format at the time of Skill Test. Otherwise, their claim for         SC / ST / OBC / PH / Ex- Servicemen status will not be entertained and their                     applications will be considered under General category.
-> Candidates are warned that they may be permanently disqualified from the                         examinations conducted by the SSC, in case they found claiming SC / ST / OBC / Ex-         Servicemen / PH status falsely.

Age Limit:

Required age for the SSC CHSL exam is 18 to 27 years, date of birth proof may be provided thru birth certificate or class 10th passing certificate.

Nationality

Candidate must be either:
-> citizen of India, or
-> subject of Nepal, or
-> subject of Bhutan, or
-> Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settle down in India, or
-> A person of Indian origin who has migrated from, Burma, Sri Lanka ,Pakistan, East African Countries such as Kenya, Zaire ,Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settle down in India.

Selection Process :

-> 1st Step: Tier-1 Written Exam (Objective Type) (200 Marks) (Online Mode)
-> 2nd Step: Tier-2 Written Exam (Descriptive Type) (100 Marks) (Offline Mode)
-> 3rd Step: Tier-3 Skill Test / Typing Test (candidates who qualify the tier-2 exam will be called for Skill Test / Typing Test)

 Exam Pattern :

Candidates must know about the SSC CHSL exam pattern, details of Exam Pattern Given Below :

Tier-1 Examination:

-> Exam is objective type and will be conducted online.
-> There will be 4 parts in a question paper namely (Part-1) General Intelligence, (Part-2)       English Language, (Part-3) Quantitative Aptitude, and (Part-4) General Awareness /           General Knowledge.
-> Exam will have 100 questions for 200 marks. Each Question for two Marks
-> Duration of the exam is 75 Minutes.
-> Questions will be in both Language English & Hindi for part: 1, 3 & 4.
-> There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Tier-2 Examination:

-> Exam is descriptive type (Written) and will be conducted offline (pen & paper mode).
-> Candidates need to write essay / precis / letters / application writing etc.
-> Exam carries 100 marks and exam duration will be 1 hour.
-> Exam will have to be written either in Hindi or in English.

Tier-3 Skill Test / Typing Test:

-> Typing Test: Candidates, who are opting English typing, should have typing speed of         35 words per minute and those candidates who are opting Hindi typing should have           typing speed of 30 words per minute. Typing test will be applicable for Postal                     Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC and Court Clerk posts.
-> Skill Test: Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on computer. Skill test will be applicable only for Data Entry Operator post.

-> Number Systems: Computation of Whole Number, Decimal and Fractions, Relationship.
-> Graphs of Linear Equations between numbers.
-> Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple             problems).
-> Mensuration: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right              Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular                          Parallelepiped,Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.
-> Statistical Charts: Use of Tables and Graphs: Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar-               diagram, Pie-chart.

Part-4: General Awareness

-> Questions are designed to test the candidate’s general awareness about the                       environment around and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test         knowledge of current events.
-> The test will also include questions related to India and its neighboring countries                 especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic, General Policy and             scientific research.

Admit Card : 

CHSL admits card will be hosted on regional websites of SSC. Candidates can download their CHSL exam admit card form respective regional SSC’s website or candidates can also download admit card from this website . Candidates will not be allowed to enter in the examination hall without the admit card.

Answer Key : 

Answer key is the collection of all the answers asked in the exam. CHSL answer key will be published after the exam on the official website of SSC for all the sets of the question paper and candidates can use them accordingly. Answer Key of CHSL exam will be published after each shift (Morning and Evening).you can see Ans Key on this website also.

Cut Off Marks :

Cut off is minimum marks that are compulsory to score to get selected for further recruitment process. it is Different for Different Category.

Result :

SCC Release the CHSL Result on their official website. it will upload CHSL exam result on its official website, result will be in the “PDF” format in that PDF file candidates need to search their name and roll number. After tier-3 (skill test / typing test) final results will be published. After final results, candidates will be appointed for the posts.
